The wait is over! The April 2007 issue is up. Inside you'll find exciting stories written by Michael Merriam, Stephen Patrick, Billy Wong, and David North-Martino. Afterburn SF is the place to be for great speculative fiction.
I'm glad to be the new editor for Afterburn SF. I look forward to reading your submissions. The next issue should be up in mid July 2007.

It seems our publishing philosophy has struck a chord wtih at least one Fantasy author. We like action in our stories. That is what we publish. It is my hope that that enjoyment is shared by others and will translate into fun when our stories are read. If you the reader enjoy what we are publishing we think that means you will return in the future to see what more we have to offer.

I would like to take a moment to say hello to everyone here. My name is Nat Thompson. This is my second new media fiction site as I currently own and operate the Obsidian River website and podcast. This site will continue to be ap paying site with a rate of $10 per accepted article.
A little information about myself, I am a fan of all things fiction. Especially Speculative Fiction. Growing up I consumed novels by Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, and L. Ron Hubbard. I look forward to growing this site from the excellent foundation built so far. My dream is for this site to be one of the premier sources of speculative fiction in the years to come.
If you have any questions or concerns about the e-zine, or the site, feel free to contact me at editor@afterburnsf.com.
Regards,
Nat Thompson
